Week 5 & 6 Dec 8 - 22

As Chris predicted, I missed a week in posting. Fear not, I will return to regularly posting every Sunday. Things have just been so crazy with family and friends and holiday prep that we haven't had a chance to post until now. Although, to be honest there haven't been many photos taken. He has grown considerably these last few weeks. He's finally a proper newborn size; 8lbs. This extra weight and size is an incredible feeling because I was constantly worried I was going to break him, he was so fragile.

However, this growth means he's been eating and sleeping a TON lately. so we haven't been able to get very many pictures of him with his eyes open.

He's sort of awake here....

He's such a creep, hahahahaha.

Somebody please let chris know how terrible of an idea his mustache was.

I cant be the only one who finds it.....unsettling.

Week 4 Dec 1 - 8

We haven't had much sleep this week. The whole thing feels like a big blur without much to report. 

 So here are some pictures! 

 He has become very needy this week where he will only sleep if he's being held.

Needless to say, I don't get much done. Just a whole lot of sittin and tending.

Although, to be fair, i can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon than cuddling my Lincoln.

He got a new hat.....

And he's still pretty small as you can see....

He went to his grandpa Dan's on Friday and had a blast ....

I don't know how he got him to laugh like this but I'm glad he did!

Chris's birthday is Tuesday so we celebrated it with his family tonight

And took some pictures by the tree

And one little new thing he has started doing, is twirling his fingers in my hair when I'm holding him. It's super sweet. Except when he grabs a fist full and doesn't let go. 

 It's still super sweet. 

Anything my tiny angel does makes me smile.... Even tugging my hair.

Oh and here he is face timing with my mom and Isaac.

LoL.

Week 3 Nov 14- Dec 1

Well thanksgiving came and went. I wish we could have spent it with the whole family but the little guy doesn't get his immunizations until he's 2 months so we are limiting his exposure to crowds until then. But if you want to see him (as long as no one is sick) please come over. We'd love to have you.

It seems a tad over protective I know but since his lungs are under developed, even a tiny cold could be devastating. 

Anywho, so he got to see his great grandma Sadie for thanksgiving before everyone came over. 

The turkey is for ......uhhh.....scale.

I think we know what I'm thankful for this year....

My mom caught this gem when she baby sat him on Monday.

Week 2 Nov 17-24

Our little man is growing a ton. We took him to the doctor's and apparently he has grown a whole inch and half! Now we just need to focus on fattening him up. We can't wait til he's a little more sturdy.

Week 1 Nov 10-17

Well a whole week has passed since we came home from the hospital. Chris has had the week off and so we've been bonding with the little one, showing him off to visitors and trying to settle into this new life.   Lincoln seems to like us, so I think we are off to a pretty good start.

Here are some of the visitors

Lincoln's nervous god father. Tiny fragile things scare even the manliest of men.

Honestly, he just sleeps a lot.

But someone forgot to tell him that babies don't actually sleep like this, so he always looks like he's posing for pictures. 

 It's super funny.

We were worried that Rue wouldn't like him..... We were wrong. 

He's her baby too, apparently

She's always curling up next to him.

.... I think he likes her too....

He is awake sometimes tho.... And he makes faces like this.

Bewilderment, and deep thought.

Not sure he's totally accustomed to life outside the womb yet.
